Keep a Girl child in School

On the 7th December 2017, Garden Route Mall met with the organisers of Keep a Girl child in school to make a donation of R5000 in sanitary pads. We have partnered with the campaign for a year and will be running till 5 January 2017. The campaign has reached 8 schools as a total distribution. we wish the campaign great success.

 

From a Public Relations initiative We concluded the campaign by writing an editorial piece in the George Herald, which was published on the 15 December 2017.

Garden Route Mall takes 22 Moréson Children to Rugby match

On the 20th January 2018 Garden Route Mall sponsored 22 children to a Rugby match. The kids enjoyed the match and we received a lovely Thank You letter from the organisation.

Gift Wrapping Recipients

On the 15th January 2018, Garden Route Mall distributed 5 cheques to 5 organisations. We managed to raise R25 000 at our two gift wrapping stations and using this money we identified five homes/NGO’s/centres to which we donated R5000 each.

OCC Schools Event

In support of the annual Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge, Garden Route Mall together with the George Municipality and Nelson Mandela University (NMU) hosted the pre-race schools event on Friday, 16 February 2018. Over 500 children from 14 local schools enjoyed a day of fun filled activities which aimed to educate the youth on the challenges that disabled people face on a daily basis and just how many have not only succeeded in overcoming these challenges, but have gone on to become competitive athletes.

 

Loads of prizes were given out and thanks goes to the sponsors; Pick ‘n Pay Garden Route Mall, Spur Garden Route Mall, Wordsworth, Typo and Cum books.
